Medical Icons

The following school assignment was meant as an example of a real-world design problem.

The prompt was as follows: "Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has commissioned you to develop a system of symbols in an effort to increase participant understanding of basic concepts and procedures when consenting to clinical studies."

The icons were created through the repeated process of iteration followed by user testing until each of the icons were deciphered successfully the majority of the time.
